Well, I leave Saturday afternoon (10-28-06) for Nebraska for the annual pheasant, prairie chicken, sharp tail grouse and fall turkey hunt. I 'll return to Indiana the following weekend.
Hate to leave Indiana during prime time, but hate to miss out on what has proved to be a productive fun trip to Nebraska each year.
I'll post the results, interesting stories when I return.

I actually hunt the northeast corner of Nebraska.
I returned last Friday, and will have to say the bird hunting was not as good as hoped for, and the past has proven to be. I returned with 9 birds.
We had to work real hard for the birds we harvested this year. The cover was good, but the walk-in areas were heavily hunted. The crop rotation was not in our favor. Some of the crop fields were in hay. We had two young dogs. They performed beautifully, but were still young.
Good trip overall. No one got hurt and didn't have any major problems with the truck. That's always a bonus.
I have a couple of photos as soon as I learn how to attach them, I will do so.
