Remington 12 g. with no.#6 shot. When Grouse or other Upland bird hunting I am also after Rabbit so the no.#6 is good all around shot. Always 2 3/4 shells low vel. though. 1250 to 1350 ft. per sec. Fifteen years of Upland shooting with 12 g. and this year buying a 20 g. Rem.

Nice rmc. I was going to buy a Merkel double, but I went with the 870 wingmaster instead. 12 gauge, no rib. Looking for a Rizzini 28 guage, but I'll probably end up with a Topper.

Just picked up a Franchi 28 gauge O/U to go with my Franchi 12 and 20 O/U's. Sweet little quail and woodcock gun. Maybe Cheney will invite down to Texas now. LOL. Oh, 480 don't get involved with Brittanies unless you have an extra 2 years to spend in training. I love 'em but they take a lot of time and patience.

Jack I hadn`t heard that about the Brittanies Jack, thanks for the heads up. Most of the guides at Royal Flush that I`ve hunted with have them, and they seem to do really well in the field. When I was there last, one of the guides, Jason, had a pup, Zoey, what a little heart breaker. If I coulda got her outta there under my coat, I`d have a Brittany already.
