Anyone? I am playing with the idea of putting in 2 real small food plots, but haven't made the commitment yet.

Antler King has a good DVD on starting and maintaining food plots.

Anyone? I am playing with the idea of putting in 2 real small food plots, but haven't made the commitment yet. Go to Rural King and look at their displays. They have several good combo of seeds for about any location. I personally like Shot Plot for fall/winter but the choice is up to you. h.h.

I second the Shot Plot. First time for a plot for me was last fall. Had about a 1/4 acre of clover and 1/4 of shot plot. The deer absolutely loved the turnips. It's also in the middle of the woods down by Morgan Monroe, and there's nothing else to eat except trees, grass, and clover.

I am putting in another 72 lbs of NWTF Clover Blend in 4 areas, 2 acres of soybeans in April, then I will be putting in turnips, soybeans again, sweet essex rape, brassica, etc in late august/sept after I till bean back under in that plot.....that makes for a sweet food plot as the beans, turnips, etc are green at the prime time. Good luck, and doing plot are a lot of phone. Also might plant some sunflowers this spring too. I think it is a great attractant to your property or area.
