Was anyone able to take a deer coming to, from, or eating off the food plot?
My plots were a flop. The drought was too hard this year.

I am in Seymour. My clover did ok during the summer. It was very dry and I cut it 2 times. The summer before I cut it 6 times. Then we got all the rain in Sept. It shot up and looked better than every. Believe it or not it is still very green and they are hitting it hard. At night of course.

I was able to harvest a doe off of my Tecomate plot. My clover plots were hit pretty hard by the drought. My Orange County soil isn't the best either so I had two whammy's against me this year.

I've got imperial clover and secret spot out and they are doing great. I planted them early fall after the drought and got good rain after planting. The deer are hitting them pretty hard, especially the Secret Spot. Like others, most feeding after dark.

I had some small bucks and a few does walk through. There were some nice scrapes on all sides.
I planted winter greens on one side and the deer kept it mowed down. I think I'll plant more next year.

The deer hit my clover early in the season but there is too much green in the woods right now and they aren't hitting the turnips like the have in the past. Once the snow and hard freeze kill off all the browse they will be in the food plots. One other thing is here where I live a lot of farmers put out wheat this fall because the cost of anhydrous ammonia has went way up so they are not planting corn next year and will put beans in after harvesting the wheat this summer so the deer are eating wheat too. h.h.

A landowner took a 125 to 130 class 8 point off a plot I put in for him this fall and has already asked about putting in more. With the weather we had and having to plant it twice, it looks like a stroke of luck may keep the business off the ground.

Since we've had a few freezes the deer were in mine last night. I shot my buck off the back of the plot. h.h.

I shot at a nice 8 the first weekend of archery, and missed. I had clover and turnips next to each other and he was in the turnips. He had a dozen does and fawns with him too. Most of the deer were eating the turnips, which kind of surprised me. Think I'll plant them again next year, then try some other stuff.

I took a walk thru mine Saturday afternoon, she didn't see any deer in it during the gun season but they've been feeding in it I could see where they've been eating off the tops of everything.
