Quality Whitetails magazine is the journal of QDMA. For a limited time they are offering a free issue of their Quality Whitetails Magazine. Some have said this is one of the best issues yet. They are also offering a discount price on QDMA memberships. I don't know how long the offers will last. Check it out - www.qdma.com/member/free_issue.asp

What is the point of being a QDM member if you have less than 1,000 acres and/or your neighbors don't practice QDM ? A complete waste of time and money with antler worship the only really attainable goal , there is no other logical reason for such foolishness no matter what they say .

I just like to make my ground more pleasing to the deer ,so that they just might spend more time on my side of the fence than the neighbors.Seems to be working so far.

I will have to agree with LawrenceCoBH. Large bucks don't get that way by walzing past every topwater fairweather opening weekend hunter during firearms season. Micro management of a small tract of property can be quite lucrative, our 23 acres is proof of that.
Make your small tract a "buck mecca" by providing a grown up bramble patch with a pine tree grove through and around it for a bedding area. Pines help deer thermoregulate through the winter months, and thick undergrowth provides protection and the option of putting thick cover between them and predators for silent escape.
Food plots or native mast producing trees will attract and hold deer in your area.
Man made vernal pools will hold enough water at varying intervals if you don't have a pond. These are easily made through the summer months with several methods.
Of course, pessimissm is a wonderful tool for an empty wall.
