Text for the Day -- Psalm 127:1-2

Unless the LORD builds the house,
those who build it labour in vain.
Unless the LORD guards the city,
the guard keeps watch in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early
and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives sleep to his beloved.
Devotional

How much are you aware of your dependence on God? The logic of the
psalmist in this psalm is, the more you are aware of God's role in
providing for your needs, the more you will experience freedom from
anxiety. Anxiety robs you of peace and harmony, and erodes faith.
Trust God's care for you and be free to live in joy and peace with
confidence.
Prayer

I surrender my foolish pride and look to you to satisfy my needs,
gracious God. Amen
