Text for the Day -- Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness;
come into his presence with singing.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he that made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him, bless his name.
For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
Devotional

This psalm is a call to praise and worship to the One who is our
Shepherd. God is our Creator and so we belong to God, not as a thing,
but as a living being in a loving relationship with God. For us as
well, God is not a thing, but a living being who seeks our love and
trust. Images like the "Shepherd " help us remember the personal
nature of our relationship with God.

Thank you, Lord, for making yourself known to me in such a wonderful
way as my Shepherd. Amen
