Text for the Day -- Galatians 4:4-7

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a
woman, born under the law, in order to redeem those who were under
the law, so that we might receive adoption as children. And because
you are children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts,
crying, "Abba! Father!" So you are no longer a slave but a child, and
if a child then also an heir, through God.
Devotional

At the right time, that is, at the appropriate moment for God's grace
to be poured out, Jesus was born. At the right time, God decided to
pour out the Spirit so that life, adoption as God's beloved children,
would be given to us. The Holy Spirit has come and brings us the
assurance that we are children of God. That is based on what Jesus
has done for us through his death and resurrection.
Prayer
Keep my heart focused on your grace in Christ, O God. Amen
