I got mine after taking my wife along to buy tags in 1996.She saw me buy 10 tags , that X-mas it was in the mail. My family eats 10-14 deer eah year, I get 10 or 12 and my son gets 2 or 3 each year. If I had to buy tags at todays prices we would be eating alot more beef.

#11203 !!!!!!!!!
I don't take anymore deer than I did before I purchased the license. I do find it nice that I have all my tags in my wallet ready to go.
I suggest if anyone without a LL has access to a time machine that they go back and get one.
On the other hand my son purchased one at the $800.?? price and this is the first year he has used it. That is a lot of cash if it is not used.

I made two major purchases the year I got my wife and myself our lifetime licenses.
1) The lifetme licenses
2) A second and much bigger deep freezer.
My wife and myself have doubled our yearly kill since the lifetime license purchases.
I agree that more people that have lifetime licenses are killing more deer than before. Stands to reason that if the tags are "free" more people will fill them. No brainer.

I think I paid around 400 for mine. Should have bought it sooner but it has paid for itself. I used to save all soda cans that we drank and even picked up a few at work once in a while, used them to buy my bonus tags with always bought what the county would allow when it was one or two. At least that was one thing I have bought that ended up paying for itself. Now alls I have to do is download my tags. Archery, Firearm, Muzzleloader, bonus. And to think I bought all of those seperatly. What was I thinking. Even at the 14.75 each that it used to cost.

I bought mine right before the big increase and it is getting close to being paid off.
I am definitely killing more deer and other critters too.
I'm on a fixed income now and this license is heaven sent.

No more standing in line to get a tag at the last minute and wondering if I am getting the right tag in this scrwed up mess that they call licensing.
I'm putting more on the ground every year now.

Like many have said on this thread, definitely some of the best money I've ever spent. I bought the comp. hunting and fishing in 2000 or 2001, and I think it was $707.00. I hunt deer, turkey, waterfowl, small game, etc...The license has paid for itself for sure.

Sore subject for me. My buddy bought his right before the price went up before they did away with it. Didn't have the money at the time and figured it would be around a few years to give me time to save. Needless to say, never bought it, sure wish I had and I envy all of you that have one.

are they still selling the life time licenses? No. I have heard that they are looking an annual version called a "sportman's license." I think several states have them in that it covers everything from soup to nuts for a year. . Wonder how much that will cost?
