I too like Shimano products either baitcasters or spinning reels.

I fished with open face reels for years & went to closed face for a change of pace.

The guys I fish with are good fisherman, & they fish with all of the fancy high dollar open-faced stuff, but they still will not let the me set in the front seat with my antiquated closed face reel. Must be too painful for them to watch the old man in action.

The best thing ever is when you catch a bunch of fish from the back of the boat that they gloss over, especially with equipment that your buddies have just made fun of.

My budies allways get mad when I catch all the fish from the back of the boat. Its not my fault that the depth finder is back there, and I am allways situated over the cover. ;D
