Bowbo, That is an excellent deer and maybe he will show up a little early one evening for you. Question though - Do you have any concerns that the camera that closs to the stand might be keeping him nocturnal?

Actually Woody, if the flash of the cam bothers him.......... wouldn't he rather move during the day then? I sure don't see why a cam bothering him at night, would make him more nocturnal?!?! Just my opinion.

Just my opinion. I don't do a lot of trail camera work, but I had read some posts somewhere where the people said they don't put them close to where they hunt. Others said it didn't hurt anything. I was just trying to get your perspective. Here is hoping you put the smack down on him. He is a stud for sure.

Of course, I don't really know how it affects them. I would like to think it doesn't bother them too much, since we have gotten many pics of the same big bucks over and over... and they keep coming back. So I'm really not sure.
On the other hand, this is probably the oldest buck that we've gotten pics of on this property..... and that is the FIRST pic of him also. The older bucks may not take too kindly of the cam snapping their pics.......... but let's hope not!
Thanks for the good luck wishes Woody......................... and now, for the new concern of IF he will return with the cam there! LOL

My suggestion would be to get deeper into the cover closer towards where he comes out of the bedding, try and find a staging area he comes to before he comes out into the field, maybe you'll intercept him before it gets too dark.
