Some more from our hog hunting trip... I'm still trying to find a better one of Dad with his hog. What the truck looked like on the way down (yes the bed was FULL too!): Another of Dad and his hog: And my sister with her itty bitty one! Dad has some good ones from our canoe fishing trip back in July I'm going to try to get and post up too.

Everytime I see that pic of the back of the truck I start singing the theme from the "Beverly Hillbillies" ;D Don't ask how but we did find room for both of the hogs to bring home Mine was pretty well boned out but my daughter's "griller" was left whole.

You obviously have more faith in your “Hitch-haul” than I do… On the way down…where’d you put the pigs you brought home?

I see one common thing in many/most of these pictures that I just can’t figure out, the young children aside, you shoot a nice animal, and you can’t smile for the camera?
If shooting an animal and having a successful hunt doesn’t make you happy enough to SMILE you need to quit hunting!
I smile every time I can get in the woods…whether I get an animal or not…the smile gets A LOT bigger if I can score!
SMILE PEOPLE…YOUR FACES WILL NOT BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not "stock"- it's been worked on, to say the least. Like Dad said in the post above yours, it was tight getting the two back home... We knew it would be tight bringing any back home but didn't realize just how tight it would be. There was room for stuff in the cab on the way back (quad cab), but it was tight as it was. Had we gotten one more the size of Dad's I don't know what we would have done! I think there was also an oversized cooler in the bed that went down with just ice in it, so we used that room mostly. If/when we go down again, I'm pretty sure we'll be pulling a trailer of some sort. ;D

I hunt in some pretty rough country and at the end of a long day, I'm usually too tired to smile.

The 2007 Trophy Photo Contest is now closed.
Thanks to everyone who participated.
We (the mods and I) will now begin judging. That will be a difficult task as there are a LOT of great photos.
