Neat..
I tell you turkeys don't back down from very many animals.
I once watched a boss hen flog the snot out of a small buck.
The buck was feeding on acorns close to me when a small flock of about 6 or 7 turkeys approached.
He went into an aggressive mode, laid his ears back and started stiff legging towards the flock. The lead hen let him get pretty close and then flew up into his face and started flogging him.
He turned to run and she flew up on his hind quarters and kept flogging him. She actually rode him for 20 yards or so before flying off of him. He just kept right on running.
The boss hen then went back to the flock and I swear they all started jumping up and down like cheerleaders.
That was absoluetly the funniest thing I have ever seen in all my many days in the woods.

The turkey and deer wont feed side by side at the feed pile. The deer will move out a few yards and the turkeys take over until done.
