Got a scanner and was able to do a couple of pictures from seasons ago , before I had a PC .
Late in the Pheasant season ... I was pulled over having lunch in the truck
on a road that runs between two hunting areas . I was getting ready to go into the bush with the dogs when I see a hawk fly out of the edge of the bush with a hen Pheasant and tried to carry her down the road ... I dug the camera out of the truck and got a couple of frames off ...
When I got close , he tried to cover the bird ... he flew up onto a post and I got another shot .... then I moved the bird away from the road into the cover , and he flew back to continue his meal !
I figured he was hungry so I packed the dogs up and went to another area so is not to disturb him ... I came back later and could only find pieces of the bird ...

A beauty Wood duck ... can you see the hen in the frame ?
