Caught this guy on the cam a couple of days ago. Note his two sets of brow tines. Front most set are only about an inch long with the velvet on them. Hopefully he makes it through the season as I'd like to see how his rack matures by next year.

Nice pic. Very symetrical rack with future potential.

The lighting makes him look almost mythical. Cool pic.

I had a chance after posting the above pic to enlarge pic a bit and will try and post it later tonight. What I thought was a 2nd set of brow tines appears to be a 2nd set of antlers which are only about an inch long. The nubbin points in front are coming from a completely different growth point. on the skull.
My question is: Has anyone ever seen a buck with two sets of antlers even if one set is smaller? If so, will the front pair grow more in years to come or is this a one season fluke?
I'll get the enlarged pic posted this evening so you can better see what I am talking about.

Okay, here is the same buck with pic cropped and enlarged. Let me know what you think the deal is with the rack.

Very strange.
It does appear that there is something growing out of his rather large pedicules.
That is not just a couple of stickers off the main beams either.
He needs to grow 3 or 4 more years to really see what devolops.
