I don't get to travel much and would love to see your country through ypour eyes. This picture is what you would see at the end of our main street. Town of about 4000. When I was a kid there was only about 1800. Thanks in advance for any replies. T.J.

Gosh, no one has ever asked to see a photo of my hometown before...but since you asked, here is a photo of beautiful downtown Alexandria, Indiana. It is a booming metropolis of about 6000 hearty souls. She got the name "Small Town U.S.A." from LIFE magazine back during WWII. I haven't lived there since about 1990, but my parents still do. Really, not much to look at, but she has a special charm!

Sorry no pics of downtown, this will have to do. The following pic is of the stairs that my track coach used to make us run. This was after a 5-8 mile run. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. Palouse, Washington pop. 1000 I now live in Milan, IN the small town whose 1954 state basketball championship inspired the movie "Hoosiers".

Led Zepplin's "Stairway to Heaven" comes to mind! After a 7 mile run 10-12 sets of those would get your legs and lungs burning. I was a distance runner, so my coach pushed me the hardest. That dude would run right along side of you every step of the way though, and run circles around you all the while. I was county champ in the 1600 meter my junior year in HS, but he would absolutely smoke me by about 200 meters in the 1600 meter run. Amazing guy and a conditioning coach for my football and basketball teams in high school also. Like I said to the original poster of this thread, thanks for bringing back some great memories.
