A buddy of mine was just telling me the other day that he had bought one of these at Walmart for around $100. He said that while he had nothing to compare it to, he was very impressed with what he got for the money.
Personally, I have a Leaf River and love it. But looking at the Moultrie for $100, how could you go wrong? Heck up until the last year or so the cheapest 35 mm cameras were almost $100. If I did not already have a digital, I'd probably buy one of these just to play with it.

Isn't market competition just great? Not sure how good of a pic you would get with " .3 megapixel quality" . Probably good enough to see what is on the grounds.. |

The one at Walmart is different than the Sportsman's Guide one. Looks to be better quality.
I just got a flier in the mail last night for the Bass Pro north of Detroit. They have the Moultrie 1.3 digital on sale for $99. I'm pretty sure it is the same on as the Walmart camera. I'd say a real good buy.

I have had a moultre scouting camera out for the last two weeks it seems if the deer are feeding in front of it i get real good pics. but if i put it on a trail i seem to be missing a lot or only getting pics of part of the deer (the back part) i guess you get what you pay for...

There is delay on almost all trail cameras. Some are worse and better than others. When monitoring a trail you need to set it where the deer are walking at an angle towards or away from the camera instead of aiming it at a right angle to the trail. Aiming it at a right angle you will sometimes gets just the butt end of the deer. |

I picked up a Moultrie at Walmart last week and the first bunch of pics seems to be real good not as good as my Cuddeback but way better than the Wildview that misses everything.

I got one for my birthday about a week ago. It has been awesome compared to my stealth cam. I have 5 or 6 different bucks in about 90 images. I could not be happier. I just hope the camera proves durable. Images are very sharp and I have even printed some that are suitable for framing. For 100 bucks you can't go wrong in my opinion. Turkey Pics too.

Same here and I am using the rechargable battery in it and have had good results so far. The draw back I have found is it is a motion detector sensor and has to be triggered twice, once to set and then it shoots.... |
