I was hoping you would like that decision Woody. You guys are covering the cost of 50 sets of "eyes and ears" made to fit kids. Hopefully as we cultivate their yearning to join the ranks of Outdoorsman we can also instill the desire to protect there eyesight and hearing.

I just wanted to get this back on top.
There is plenty of time to get kids in this.
Any instructors from here are invited to come join us.
Also, if anyone else feels a great desire to pitch in a hand, we will find something for you to do.

I just wanted to bring a little attention to this again. The camp is in a month. There is still a little time to get signed up. Also, a few guys mentioned helping out and I can always use instructors or range hands. If you would like to help out please send me an email and let me know what you would like to teach or help do.

Holly Cow, Mother Nature sure does not like me!! We had a great camp guys. Even with the variety of weather. I believe we actually got to experience three seasons of weather over the two days we were out there. Thank you Dave!! It was great to meet you and have some representation from the site. The kids were told of where the "eyes and ears" came from, and they were all very appreciative. Thanks again guys. When we get the next camp set up, I will pass on the information.

They put on an excellent weekend. It is one thing to sit in a classroom but quite another to get to experience everything in a hunter and trapper ed class. The were several items handed out at the end as well. I can highly recommend the experience for any youth, and I can tell you it is well worth supporting. It's a great way to motivate the next generation to be involved in our sport. They have the cooperation of several CO's to help with this program; they deserve a thanks as well. Congratulations to District 9 and the IDNR.

Thanks Dave. We have our Director for the next go around. Eric Roush will be handling it. He mentioned September. I was afraid to ask if he meant THIS September or next September like the rest of us thought it would be. I'll relay the info as soon as I know.
