Thinking about next year's election ... already made up your mind? still deciding? try this fascinating website! Takes about 1-2 minutes. Having trouble deciding who to vote for in 2008? This will compare your answers with ALL candidates. I found this to be of interest .... It did not select the candidate I had expected! Of even more interest was which were way down the list - and why.. Click on the website below www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460 I'm sure you'll want to pass this along to friends ... I suggest you do it without disclosing who your candidate was before and after the survey!

I took this same quiz a few months ago and glad to say I got the same guy twice. I am sure I didn't answer the questions the same both times.
McCain, even though I think I would have a hard time voting for him!

Sheesh. McCain with a score of 45. Some of the Agree/Disagree issues weigh a lot more heavily than others for me. Once again it looks like the GOP will screw the teachers.

Im just gonna write my own name in I think. Any help would be appreciated. I'm pro gun, pro death penalty. ( you got one week to appeal). I'm tired of needless spending..... I guess I could go on and on but I wont..... Anyway you look at this time around you will be voting for the lesser of two evils I think.

I had McCain at 57, but also had Huckabee at 52. Think I`d take Huckabee, he`s a Christian, AND, he wants to get rid of the IRS.

LOL, in my results the dems were all tied at three pts. All we agreed on was the death penalty. Problem with this quiz, is that by the time we get to vote in the primary some of these people won't even be on the ballot. The pickings are pretty lean. What has happened to conservatism in this country?

My #1 issue always has been and probably always will be abortion--I only vote for those 100% against legalization of it, no exceptions, in the hope that Roe vs. Wade will be overturned in this country, saving the lives of millions of children dying at the hands of those they rely on to care for them the most during the most vulnerable period of their lives. I can't bring myself to vote for someone who is in any way, shape, or form supportive of any legalization of abortion (so that definitely rules out a certain GOP contender for me--I might write in "Mickey Mouse" if that guy gets the nomination!!!). Ron Paul and I agreed on this point (although looking at the details, I'm not quite sure he is 100% against as he is willing to let states decide the issue), but we disagreed on some other major points, so I don't know who I'll support. I guess I'll have to see how it shapes out. Any way it happens, I fear the choice will not be optimal.

I fear the choice will not be optimal. I don't think the choice ever is optimal, regardless of your views. The last several elections it's been a matter of the lesser of two evils.

John McCain Score: 84
Agree Iraq Taxes Stem-Cell Research Health Care Abortion Social Security Line-Item Veto Energy Death Penalty Gun Control Environment Education Disagree Immigration Marriage
I still have problems with McCain's position on the First and Second Amendment, though we apparently agree on most other issues. With Thompson out of the race it seems that the lesser evil for me would be McCain.

The lesser evil seems to get more evil every election don't it?
