I’m tagged out but my daughter will have her Handi Rifle in 357 Maximum with her, I will be the guide. Every deer hit with that gun has dropped within 30 yds. Great caliber. What projectile are you using? I've had a couple of slow deaths with my .357 MAX with great shot placement. Last year my son shot one with it and the deer laid down within 30 yards of us. I couldn't see it and my son (14 years old then) thought it's head was down. We waited 30 minutes and got down to check it out and it got up and walked straight away. We backed out and found her still alive but unable to move 4 hours later. As I said the shot placement was good. I don't think we have a good performing projectile. Interested in what you are using

Mossberg 505. Which has an interesting story. It was stolen, along with a few other guns and some jewelry of my wife's. This was recovered from a pawn shop a couple of years later. It really helps to have serial numbers to turn in with a police report.

We slow cook the legs and thighs and use them in a large batch of "chicken tortilla soup". Obviously substituting the chicken. Here is a recipe thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/chicken-tortilla-soup/We just oven roast the breast with any recipe for turkey breast.

Please enter my son. Tony W. 11 years old.
He's still looking for his first harvest of any game. We once shot at a dove at the same time. He had a bb gun and me, a shotgun. We could only find one pellet that hit the bird so I told him his bb must have hit it. So he counts that one. haha.

My personal best is 150" 8 point. My personal goal every year is to kill the biggest one I can get on the properties I can hunt. That size of that deer varies from year to year and I don't really care what he scores.

Just wanted to share this pic. I took this hen around 9:20 yesterday. She is getting full body mounted. Shot her out of a tree stand at around 18 yards with a crossbow.

I wear a TreeHopper safety belt in all but two of my stands. It also works as a climbing belt when setting up stands. On the other two of higher ones i wear a harness and tie onto a lifeline. I don't have enough lifelines to do this for every stand. As my son hunts more, every stand that he gets in will have a lifeline on it and he will wear his harness.

Argument: Deer will be slaughtered with hpr's.
Answer: The type of firearm does not change the bag limit. It also does not change one hunter's personal need for quantity of venison.
