Maybe I missed it but I wish it showed more about how it mounts, does it move out of the way, etc.

I have about 1500 give or take a hundred so im not doing without but 1300 or so are those dang Remington golden bullets and the rest are CCI hollow points which still shoot fine from my gun but I like the round nose better Was looking through my inventory and turns out I've got 100 rounds of CCI round nose. Where you located? If you're close if trade ya for golden bullets. I've never been picky on what 22 I shoot.

Had a friend that transferred up here from E Tenn about the time I hired on. They, especially his wife, COULD NOT WAIT to get back home to that area.

Traded in the coal mine ground of Warrick County for the hardwood hills of Martin County this morning. Never been here before, but the landowner said he sees turkeys "all the time". Should be fun just hunting some different terrain. Haven't been up there in years. I remember the area I hunted up there was more like small mountains than hills. Lots of birds though.

I just must not be very stealthy. The day before I killed my bird I tried crawling behind my b mobile just 10yds into the field to get it setup. Neither long beard liked it and left the field for about 30min. ...and they were barely visible over a rise in the field...500yds away.

We are going to have to make you start hunting them with a spear. You make it look too easy! Congrats! I had every intention of taking the bow this morning, well both actually. I decided at the last minute to leave it because the walk/pack in there with the vest, blind, decoys, stool, gun,etc just about kills me every time. I have to take a break when I'm carrying a bird out, too. Maybe next year.

Love it when a plan comes together! Wellllllll? Not much of a story really. A couple new long beards moved into the old faithful field yesterday. Setup this morning in nearly the same setup that my daughter killed from last week. Most the time in that field I setup the killer B and hen decoys where I think the birds are coming out and just wait, minimal calling. It's got a pretty high success rate so far.. 2 hens came out early to my left then just after 7 another 5 came out of the same spot right beside me. Sure enough both long beards were right behind them and cut over towards the decoys. The rain really did a number on my fan which may have been why he didn't run in but he was still going, just more cautiously. I never gave them a chance to put on a show and dropped the lead bird at 35 steps. Tried to wait the 2nd bird put but he insisted on walking around, gobbling in range for the next 20min do I threw my bottle behind in the woods and finally made them nervous enough to leave without spooking too bad. A buddy was supposed to go with me this morning to double up but couldn't get off work in time. Hope that other bird sticks around for him.

This is the first year I've ever gone to the 4th day of season. Starting to get to me. You realize turkey hunting is not supposed to be that easy, right? Haha. Yea I've just been fortunate to have a couple pretty good spots to hunt. Never not killed opening day in KY either and I didn't even get to go this year. Been a rocky start but I've got no one to blame but myself. I pulled the trigger Wednesday morning and should be done. Pretty confident today should be productive if the storms hold off.

Almost didn't bring the blind this morning..so glad I changed my mind. Started raining on me half way acrossed the field. 2 new birds showed up yesterday in the field Bec killed hers. I chased them half the day yesterday but they were henned up and never could get within about 75yds. So this morning finds me in the exact same setup as her hunt a week ago. Henned up, responsive or not, they SHOULD come past me at some point. Fingers crossed.

Short recap. Left work an hour early but still breaking day already. Hit a big doe, messed up my truck. Kept going get to my public spot. A truck there already but no sign in his dash showing he was drawn for turkey hunt so I go in. Right away spot a small bird, call and he comes running across the end of the field. No decoy, he hangs up, I miss... Take a breath. Look up and see a fan sticking out of the weeds a few hundred yards up. Put on the sneak, pop up he's 100yds and BOOM BOOM he goes flying. Apparently the other truck is in here and hunting illegally. Great. While sneaking I heard a few gobbles off in the woods where I killed last year. Eased in here, decoy out and just gonna wait it out here for an hour or so and try to make it back home without any more mishaps... The day just kept getting better.. Gave up on that set and decided to cut through the woods to a small field at the end of the big one I started on. Sure enough, BIG long beard feeding by himself. He's about 50yds off the edge and walking up the edge. Do my best to catch up and get to the edge for a shot..he sees me, I take a moving shot and miss number 2 for the day. Figured I'd had enough and head back, round the corner into the big field and what do ya know? There goes another long beard running into the woods at about 60yds.. Oh well keep going towards the truck. Look up and see a bird towards the end of the field, drop in the woods and ease that way. Pop up and guess what, 3 stutters but by this time I'm wore out and not moving very stealthy, a hen pops up between me and them and the games over. Best and worst opening day ever..lol. I'd say on a normal day I'd be done but after being up about 30 hrs and working all night I definitely wasn't on my A game.. Try again in the morning.
