I joined 10/13/2010. Even though I had been a life long hunter when I moved to Indiana I used the knowledge of all the great people on this site to help me be a successful hunter in a state that was new to me. I have since moved to SoCal (😒) but still check in on this site almost daily. I live vicariously through all you, missing the cool and beautiful fall hardwoods of Indy!

#1 In 9 months there will baby boom. #2 the divorce rate will jump substantially. Will this new generation of babies be known as “Coronials”?

If you don’t want a paper receipt just get CVS app for your phone. Your phone works as your card and you can have receipt sent to your email. Plus it alerts you when prescriptions are ready so no more phone calls.

Some friends of mine dog started doing the same thing. It turned out to be bats in the attic.

I just started looking into the Block Management program. Not sure if I can make it this year but I'm hoping to make it out there for a hunt someday. One of the most Beautiful states I've been in.

Are you doing a guided or self guided Montana deer hunt?

Wouldn't these armed citizens be the same "orange army slobs" that a lot people on this site say they are afraid to be in the same woods with during deer gun season? Would you want to be in an unorganized firefight with them? Just saying.

I have hunted there since moving to Indiana in 08. I hunt mostly on week days and find I have the place to myself most of the time. The first week of firearm season is the only time I see people mid week. After that I only see other hunters on weekends. I have had a lot of success hunting there with the exception of this year. My deer sightings were way down and I have yet to harvest a deer. They have been doing a lot of logging in the area I like to hunt and that has effected deer movement patterns. I'm hoping to have some snow for this weekend so I can see what the deer are up to.

Thanks Gwinnman, It is very frustrating to read about others seeing all kinds of deer and not seeing any myself. That's why I like this site. It's a good place to vent and get some encouragement! The worst is when I get home and my wife says "I can't believe you can sit in a tree for 12 hrs and not see a deer! It sounds so boring! How can you stand it?!" LOL I think I will stick it out in that stand. The wind and weather look good for n all day sit tomorrow.

I sat in my "best" rut stand again this morning and didn't see a thing again. It was nice morning, cold, clear and a good wind. I wish I could have sat all day but could only stay till 1:00. I feel like this is my best stand to see bucks out of but I am wondering if I should make a move or stick with it. I guess I will decide in the morning.

Do you have an address for MCR? I would like to try him unless anyone has another place closer to Hamilton Co. other than Archers. Thanks

I hunt on only public land and will echo the advice given to you by the others.Go farther in and to the places lazy hunters don't want to go to. Last year I found a spot that was fairly close to a parking area with so much sign I couldn't keep myself from putting up a stand there. I went to that stand on opening day and found it had been stolen. I was pretty mad but it also worked out for the better. I told myself I would never be lazy again and scouted the same area but much farther in. During the rut I ended up killing my biggest buck ever and during gun season I had a ton of deer pushed by me,never seeing another hunter. I had to pass on a bigger buck because I was tagged out. I have found that during bow season you shouldn't have any trouble getting away from other hunters but gun season is different. You will always have hunters that move around after sitting for a few hours. Stay in your stand and let them move deer for you. The big buck I has to pass on came by at 1:00, just about the time hunters were heading back into the woods from lunch. Good luck!
