How about the lady janitor singing the IU fight song in the hall way in assembly hall at the beginnig of every game. And all the games were sponsored by farm bureau insurance.

Carter also used to own the Lawrence music store just east of Indy. It was really weird to see him in street clothes.

I used to watch Sammy religously! Along with Science Fiction Theater on Channel 4. I think John Dillinger's hailed from the Moorsville area. I also think his first "big crime" was in Seymour.

My uncle used to work for channel 4. I was starstruck as a kid when he showed me a picture of him and Cowboy Bob playing golf together. For all I knew COwboy Bob resided somewhere in Hollywood.... LOL.

Dillinger was reported to have buried a barrel of his loot on his parents farm in Mooresville....to this day it was never recovered! Let's go treasure hunting!!!!
Speaking of treasure hunting...remember when they still hadn't pin-pointed the location of the titanic???

Dillinger is also perported to have had a cabin hideout in the Raccoon Lake area. It is now underwater where he was supposed to have had it. There was supposidly a cave in that area that he also utilized.
John Wooden- Martinsville went to college at Purdue.
He also couched at Indiana State. How about that. I did not have to look up the Indiana State fact, actually I believe that he left Indiana State and went directly to UCLA.
