Well, I bought a CVA Scout in 350 Legened. A buddy had bought it for his daughter to hunt with but she was not ready to try it this year. He had some unexpected expenses come up and decided to sell it. It is the Take Down stainless model with a threaded barrel. It had only been fired 3 times. I put a Nikon 3x9x40 scope on it tonight and will try and get it dialed in tomorrow. He threw in 2 boxes of shells with it. I like the way it feels. From what research I have done there seem to be hardly any complaints about this little single-shot rifle.

Good information here...thanks. I too am looking at a 350 Legend and have narrowed it down to the Ruger American (Go Wild model) or the Winchester XPR Stealth. Read a review by Outdoor Life and they rated Winchester #1 and the Ruger #2. Weclome to any thoughts you guys have. Thanks

Between my daughter and I we have 5 that shoot well below moa.

The Go Wild version is a huge step up.

During my big oaks hunt, my partner wounded a buck and I ended up putting a round into its heart with my 350 legend. He recovered the slug out of the far shoulder and it looks like a perfect copper flower. I couldn’t believe how light the recoil was (I did put an aftermarket muzzle break on it). He had shot it twice with a 20g, but that 350 legend did the trick.

Woodmaster had a 350 Legend he used to bear hunt with in Canada. But…. It’s a long story as he now has a 450 Bushmaster. www.ruger.com/products/americanRifleRanch/specSheets/16950.htmlHe got it at Academy for 15% off suggested retail. He was happy. He said it’s the first Ruger he had ever bought. It looked pretty nice. He had another brand in 350 Legend that he had to leave in Canada when he bear hunted. He had scheduled the return flight on a different airline than the one he flew up on. It was a lot cheaper and flew into straight into Nashville. He didn’t read the fine print until too late and it was they would not allow any firearms checked as baggage! He checked back on the original airline and the difference was more than he felt the gun was worth. The outfitter asked him if he was coming back to hunt again and Woodmaster told him yes. The outfitter says he would buy the gun with credit for another hunt so Woodmaster let him have it for $800 credit.
