I guess I can't really say this is my EDC knife. Mostly I don't "carry" a knife everyday. With all my travel and many plant restrictions, they would be confiscated. So this is my WTMIRC (When the moment is right carry) knife. Circa 1900, H.H.H. Plier knife by the Oscar Barnet Tool Company. An advertisement from 1900 declared, "Invaluable to Farmers, Horsemen, Mechanics, Miners, Sailors, Soldiers, Sportsmen an All Working Men!" Twas my Great Grandpa's knife: Now that is cool!

Here are 2 I got when my grandpa passed away in 1984. The one on the right is in good shape. There is a spot on the left side where the scale is wore down from where it was held. It is comfortable to carry and tight blade. I had dated it to 40s hammer I believe. The left one looks bad but not really. It is an old Remington knife. My other favorite was a case mini-trapper that I lost several....

One of the Kershaw Launch series. I think I have all of the Launch models they have made. I once would only buy USA-made Kershaws but I have changed my mind. The China-made Kershaw knives are pretty good blades also.

I used to carry my grandpa's pocket knife and I got scared of losing it so it stays safe at home now.

I carry a small Buck or a Case trapper..
Not really a protection knife, but Mr. Kahr or Mr. Ruger takes care of that aspect.

I usually carry this Kershaw. I believe it's a Cryo 2. Had it for a few years. For a cheaper knife it's held up well.

Here is a good place to buy Kershaw blades. He sells some second or blem knives and every one I have bought I could not see anything wrong with them and you get a great deal on them. kershawguy.com/

Hey scrub, Your topic got me to thinking... I believe I have a few old knives stashed in the "Junk drawer." So, I went to searching and found this old knife from days back in the early 80's when I dabbled in contracting a hog operation. As a gift from Continental Grain, the owner at that time of Wayne Feeds in cahoots with Lincomix. The box is a little ragged. I don't think I've ever had it out of the box until I shot these pics:
