Been sitting in a blind this afternoon with my daughter. We’ve seen 2 small bucks and 4 does. The wind has them all on edge so they didn’t sit around for too long.

Well I'm in my stand for the 1st time since putting it up. The Muddy hasn't shown any movement of deer since the 12th of September so I've been staying away until now. I've got a dried up creek bed in front of me and creek bed to my left that has "some" sign of deer life. I'm hoping that something will come my way other than squirrels and chipmunks

First sit this morning, had a a decent 8 pt behind me, held out for a bigger deer since I wanted to beat my personal best of 100 1/2 inches, and not 10 minutes later a tallish 10 pt comes towards me from the front! Not the biggest buck I have ever seen, but snuck a bolt just forward of his shoulder, and bam. Waiting for him to die 15 yards from my stand. I think he is taller than my last buck. He's got a split tine. As I said not the biggest I have seen (I've had two or three Booners around me before but also had always created a situation where I couldn't shoot) but probably going to be my biggest one. And as I finished editing a small 6 walks behind me. Congrats

\ Thats me! Ive got another member having trouble with tapatalk. I've never used it so I dont know a thing about it. I will ask the ProBoards Gurus later Right now Im building a portion of a fence in my back yard Sorry.. Woody- tried PM and looks like it didn't go through. I'm doing the image posting on my phone only because that's what I have with me and any time I put my phone photos on the computer their resolutions, sizes, etc get blown up and no matter how small I make them I can't post to any forum. Believe me, I've tried. I have to use Tapatalk or something like that because it is the easiest thing to do. PM me when you hear back from ProBoard. I upload my images to imgur, then post them here. Never had a problem but I'm using a desktop or a laptop. I will email a pic from my phone to myself, that way it shows up on the computer, save it to my picture file and go on from there. That way I have it stored in more than one place too. Imgur is free.

🤬 SMH!! I just made THE DUMMEST MOVE EVER. Had a pile of doe's come in at 42 yrds, no big deal. Clear wide open area and nothing to stop/deflect my shot except for the tree that I have in front of me. I was more worried about the leader of the group ( due to her demeanor) so I kept 1 eye on her while I focused on my shot at a bigger 1 all the while not realizing how close the cam on the crossbow was to the tree. I settled in and squeezed the trigger only to not get the shot and may have just messed up my equipment in the process. If I did mess it up, I'm done until gun season because I can't afford a replacement at this time

I'm back at the car to examine my crossbow. I can't see any signs of distress on the cam, cam pin or limbs but I'm going to pull it back and see if it makes any funny noises. I know fiberglass is tough but I honestly don't know how close the cam was to the tree when I released the pressure and the limbs relaxed

Well I reckon I didn't hurt it, pulled back even and quietly. Cam appeared to still be inline and no visible limb damage. I don't think I ruined that spot either. Ended up having to play ring around the tree since 3 younger doe wanted to come back and investigate what took place earlier. I could've sealed the deal this time at 21 yrds, but I just wanted to get out and do an inspection without blowing up that spot

Beautiful, quiet, cool morning in Jackson County! No deer sightings but I can tell you the squirrel population is rather robust!
