My White, Black, Red and Shumard oaks in my front to side yard are loaded this year. I have not checked the oaks in the back yard. Deer this week started to check under the trees.

All my whites are Chinkapin's, lot smaller acorn but deer love them and they generally produce every year (some better than others). But yes, it looks like a good mast year in my area of Switz. Co.

Same here with mine. And my persimmon trees are LOADED!!! Late frost or dry weather stopped the persimmons completely in my area of Clay county.

I am pretty sure it's this guy. Same area pic and shed found. There is camera on mineral lick just inside woods by this clover plot. Should have some better pics of him.

That last picture is a young one that might blow up to a monster 180 plus buck.

Good luck sleeping tonight. I'd be awake for days. Lol Honestly Crazy 8 is only shooter for me in this group. He is a 5.5 yr old and near his max potenial IMO. I manage pretty hard with couple neighbors for older age classes. Letting all 3.5 yr olds walk, and most 4.5's is our no.1 priority.

You’re lucky to have neighbors on the same page as you. I do not. I’ve tried but the excuses are always “we hunt for meat” or “really don’t have time to put in to manage” Oh well. Anyways….. Yesterday morning sitting by my back door peering out at the fields of corn I see a fawn go streaking by the edge and not seconds later here come 2 coyotes. Well. I just so happen to have a rifle ready to roll around all times and quickly grabbed it and ran out on the back of my house. Took a few minutes but I finally saw the coyotes again and they looked like maybe they were searching. So, I leveled down and took my first long range headshot. (250yds) had a nice steady rest. Someone got a headache.
