Here is a Browning Stalker 2, probably late 70's. A friend gave it to me. I had to re-string it and fix the cables. No way this thing is 50% let-off. Maybe 40. Interesting to shoot. Terrible form and no follow-through:

Not too long after that Carrol came out with a metal handled compound and that was my first compound. Mine looked like the bow on the left.Only mine was black. The bow on the right was mud ugly as Carrol was stuck with a bunch of take down recurve handles and tried to jury rig them to make compounds. Thus the reason for the wavey limbs.. I also shot a lot of Jennings bows in my days. S Handle W Handle Arrowstar Model T Split T I still have a Silver Anniversary Model T (1978) hanging in the garage Jennings made some very fine bows. Unfortunately when Tom designed the two wheel compound he thought it was a new design and patent that did not pertain to the Allen patent. He then stopped paying Allen $5 a bow sold. Allen sued and Tom lost. That put Tom out of business. He then went to work for Bear Archery. Memories.... .

My dad had one of those old brownings with the wheels on the limbs. He camo painted it. Where the paint has worn off you can see beautiful wood grain. If he still has it I might try to restore it.
