Anyone know off the top of their head if cleanup on put and take starts tomorrow? I'll call the property tomorrow but was curious beforehand

In the past cleanup was always Monday after Thanksgiving

It is however now you must check in at 8:00am and they only allow so many parties per area. There is always a line out the door before 8:00am With the bad weather today I would think there might be a good carry over of birds.

I was thinking about hitting Glendale tomorrow with the beagles and see what happens. Worse case we chase rabbits

I should correct myself and state that the above procedure applies to Winamac.

I hunted Glendale couple years ago for them while running dogs. Talked to property manager and it was a just go. Told me where they were stacked up. Told me to shoot them all because they just were going to die. Didn't really want to push the hen issue but he thought it was pretty silly to not be able to. Talked to a C.O out there that day and he was in the same agreement but wasn't no way I was going to test that "misunderstanding"

Now a days some properties only release ROOSTERS because local property owners complained about the shooting of HENS. There might be wild native hens that get killed by mistake so now those properties only release ROOSTERS.

As you are probably already aware you are basically hunting chickens that MIGHT fly a little better. Good luck I have walked many a mile trying to flush some of those but I didn't have dogs. My dad might be up there tomorrow.

My more concern is, and correct me if I'm wrong, after the put and take is over the rules revert back to state regs and it's rooster only

Well I got about a mile from the house is about it. Made a turn onto highway 60 and my tire came off. Had to run it into a ditch to control it and save from it possibly swerving into oncoming traffic. Water logged ditch. Took about 5 hours to get it jacked up enough to get the tire back on enough to limp home. Looks like going to need whole new hub assembly.

At least nobody got hurt and it didn't happen at Atterbury.

I'm glad you and the dogs were ok. I kid when I say this but that's a new excuse as for not shooting anything!

Came back and finished. I know I torqued the tires but I'm thinking I thought I already did that one and skipped it. I always hit them with the impact to put them on. That usually gets them pretty close to speck with just a little more needed. No idea. I don't think anyone tried to steal them even though they are aftermarket. Got me at this point. Either way, two new hub assemblies on the way. It butchered the lugs
