As someone that grew up there in my younger days, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Never been there, so i have no basis for comparison. However, i did read a news story this morning that pennsylvanians elected someone who died.LAST MONTH. They never took his name off the ballot. So, they got someone who's dead, and another guy who's just dead from the neck up.

The whole situation is unbelievable! Granted, just about anyone would be better than Fetterman,is Dr Oz the "best" candidate the GOP could come up with? Fetterman is an utter embarrassment to Pennsylvania.

Now, that party gets to choose who will get the spot.

Republicans had the perfect set of circumstances to put up a historically big number .... and in many, many cases the party put up terrible candidates.
A majority of those 10% or so of voters who can really go either way in any given election thought Fetterman was a better choice than Oz. That says a lot.

GOP had momentum on their side. Not able to really capitalize on that is like watching the 2022 colts play.

I think Trump has a good nose for what people want ... but man he picks some ty candidates. It seems he is more interested in putting up an ass kisser than someone who would A: Be good for the country and B: Can actually win. He wont do it, but its time for him to fade into the background.

The carpetbagger handle he was tagged with was a killer. The Republicans would have been much better off with the born in PA David McCormick.
The wipe out in the Governer's race helped to...or maybe the PA folks just vote for whatever has a D behind their name.
The Republicans hope is now riding on Laxalt but the Las Vegas votes are almost overwhelmingly Democrat.. I dont think his 15,000 vote lead will hold up. "Maybe" walker can inch out a win in the run off?
If the Dems get 51 Senate seats this country is in trouble.

I really can't imagine a scenario where the republicans can't take back the Senate. After these past two years? Is our country really happy with it?

Anyone on here from Pennsylvania? Just wondering what the mindset was there.

Anyone on here from Pennsylvania? Just wondering what the mindset was there. Yes, please, someone answer this. I meant to post the same question, but ran out of time this morning. Same question for Michigan residents. What in the world do you people see in Whitmer? I'd really like to know. My wife has several relatives in MI and I consider most of them to be of below-average intelligence. Surely not the majority of the state is as lost as those fools?

Much like Indiana and Illinois, the rural side of Pennsylvania and Michigan is outnumbered by the big cities.

Anyone on here from Pennsylvania? Just wondering what the mindset was there. Democrats support unions. Major union state. Blindly supporting. Even though Fetterman said he was going to shut down fracking they blindly followed. Still quite a bit of coal comes from there. Add that to what previously stated with urban voters outweighed rural and you have what you have. What amazes me is it's by whole one of the strongest 2nd amendment states and they still vote blue. What they don't get blindly following dems because of the union vote, Republicans may not support the unions but they will ensure their union mining and oil and gas jobs increase. Dems will support right to union but they won't have a union job anymore

The whole nation wide mid term can be compared to a football play: We had them at 3rd and long, backed up to their own goal line. Quarterback was flushed out of the pocket and nearly sacked for a safety, but they scrambled and got a first down at the 50 yard line!

I know it is hard for many Trump backers to believe but a lot of people do not like him. Add the Supreme Court on abortion to the list with the Republican party being blamed for it and it is what you get. The Dems are not done with Trump yet. It will not be a shock if they manage to put him in court next year.

It will not be a shock if they manage to put him in court next year. Most people either really like him or really don't. Not many in-between. He may have the ability to divide the GOP in half and hand the next presidential election to any dem that runs....including old uncle joe. And that would be horrible but feasible.
