I'm going to buy a couple of boxes on Mini-Mags from CCI and see if any of the ammo will eject right, after working the heck out of the bolt to break it in. If it still jams I will send it back. It's good to know they stand behind their products.

Well I tried a total of 6 different kinds of ammo after cleaning and lubing it and working the bolt back and forth over 300 times and it still jams. In fact, worse than it did before. I called them and they're emailing me a return label and RMA number. I'm seriously thinking of trading it in for a Ruger MKIV if I can find 1 or a Browning Buckmark once it gets back. I doubt I ever buy another S&W again, but time will tell.

You may find that it runs the way you wanted it to. Either way, if you decide to keep it or sell it that's certainly your decision. The downside to selling it is the financial loss you will incur if you take it to a gun shop to sell or trade.

I may sell it instead of trading it in,I know there's losses doing it that way I'm in the works of selling my Bersa .380 right now to help cover what this gun cost me. But like I said,I may decide to keep this, depends on how it is when it comes back.

I agree it’s your decision to do what you want and I’m sure you’ll do what makes you happy. If you’re still not happy with it after it comes back from S&W, You should consider a Ruger MKIV, I have had many Ruger’s over the years rifles and handguns and don’t recall a problem with any of them. All brands have their following and I will not disparage any of them. Just stating my experience.

The Ruger MKIV is the gun I was looking for but was told at the first gun shop,a real nice guy I've been dealing with for years, that there wasn't any available. He looked at several suppliers and couldn't find any anywhere. Where I bought this gun they didn't have any Ruger MKIVs either but said this gun was pretty much the sane thing. After I left we went back to the first guy to see if he had a holster for it and he agreed that it was basically the same gun as a MKIV. I looked online and most sites said they were out of stock,I only found a couple that had any and 1 of those only had 4 models of it,the tricked out versions.

Browning Buckmark is hard to beat as well. I have the cheaper matte finish camp version, but never had a problem and we've probably got 1k thru it now.

Dunham's in vincennes had cci mini mag $12.99 per hundred. I've got some ordered from CCI, thanks though. I sent the pistol back Friday...but forgot to put the receipt in the box,I'll call them tomorrow...but who knows how long it'll be gone, so I'll have time to get some.

I stopped by the Clarksville BassPro yesterday and they had several boxes of CCI mini mag ammo (300 rounds). It was packaged with an image of Steven Rinella (The Meateater) on the box.
I think it was running right around $33-$34.

$0.10/round is a lot better than the $0.30/round I was seeing earlier.

I got the gun back yesterday,it only took 3 weeks and 3 days from the day they received it until the day I got it back, good turn around. All they did was fix the ejector and test fire it. I loaded up 2 magazines,1 with Armscor HPs and 1 with Remington gold solids. The Armscor fed through it perfectly, even with a few shots as fast as I could. fire it The Remingtons had 2 that didn't fire. The first 1 I just ejected, put it back in the magazine and tried again and it fired. The 2nd 1 though was more of a problem. Just reloading it didn't work for it. It scraped back some of the lead on the bullet so it wasn't going into the chamber all the way,so I peeled it off with my fingernail, pushed it in as far as I could with my finger then released the bolt, that time it fired. When it gets warmer I'm going to take all the different kinds I've got out and see which ones work best in it. I'll decide after that if I'm going to keep it or not.
