Watched it, not bad. I'm curious to see if they say where they actually are.

Watched it, not bad. I'm curious to see if they say where they actually are. They try real hard not to do that. Sometimes they show maps and people that know the areas real well will recognize it, but that’s usually about as far as they go. I think them showing maps has slowed way down to because of that. They like promoting public lands, but also don’t want to have hoards of hunters go to areas where others have work hard to find the deer.

I was thinking more of naming the property not exactly where. With that many groups spreading out they almost have to be in HNF but there are several other public properties close they could be bleeding over on.

I feel sorry for anyone who normally hunts down there. Just from this thread the boat ramps down on the Ohio will probably be full of deer hunters next year.

They're only 2 places that I can think of that they can access from the Ohio and both are easily ruled out. I'm pretty sure it's HNF and I'm pretty sure I know where

I would imagine that there are locals that would heckle them for being there.

Not everyone is a fan of their tactics

They hunted a bottom area and also at the time they were having a quick turnaround on videos and the spot ended up being overrun by gun hunters the next week.

I know EXACTLY where they were since this is practically in my back yard and I have hunted these areas. I hope people don't flock down to these areas now. The good thing I heard from a good source that the Non Resident deer tags are going up to 550.00 next year. This is to get in line with the other states.

They’re getting closer to putting something on the ground. The Untamed guys must be hunting southwestern Indiana somewhere because they said they were in the central time zone.

From Dan Infalt on Facebook
"I had been driving for a long way thru unknown places down back roads thru Indiana last week not having any idea where I was just following the GPS and surviving on coffee when my weary eyes saw the lights of a town ahead.
I needed gas and a coffee refill so I slowed down, and started looking around. The first gas station I came to the roof had collapsed and it was obviously out of commission.
A little further down was another closed down station. I noticed half the buildings were boarded up. Old cars and washing machines and other garbage was piled around the buildings, and people were wearing worn, ripped, and faded clothes. It looked like I was looking back 50 years ago... I finally found a gas station and it was full service with a guy who fills your truck hoping for tips.
He looked at my front plates with a strange stare and then said "Wisconsin eh?" I said yes sir. And he asked how much gas I wanted. I told him to fill it. While it was filling he was looking around the back of my truck. He said you hunting? I told him I was. He told me a few spots I should try where he had some luck. Then he said "you sure you want this full? your getting close to $100?" I said yea fill it... I had to wonder what this guy barely getting by thought of me, and what I was spending to hunt deer. Here is a man just like me, just born into a different world. Not a lesser man, not a greater man... Just a man. I figured he looked down on me, and probably did not like me cause of our different situations.
I paid the man, and made sure I gave him a generous tip, and he kept trying to give half back saying it was to much. The gas station was a little shack. I asked the man if he sold coffee, he said no. I said "you know somewhere where I could get a hot meal and a coffee?" Instead of answering, and as if I didn't even ask a question he interrupted me and asked where I was staying as he looked around in the back of my truck. I said just tent camping. He responded by asking "For how long?" I said "A week or so" The man stared at the ground hard as if in deep thought for a moment, as if maybe he was contemplating if he should say what he was about to say, then he said it.
'Well, hell Mr, your gonna freeze in a damn tent, I guess you can stay at my place, it ain't much, but we have an extra room, and my wife can make you coffee and something to eat."
For a moment I was speechless... He had no idea who I am, neither of us knew each others name, and yet he was concerned about me enough to welcome me into his home. Boy, did I read him wrong when I pulled up to that gas station. I thanked the man, shook his hand, and headed to a busted down restaurant for coffee and a meal. Occasionally my wanderings bring home a buck or a bear, but the people I meet, the sights I see, and experiences that shape me, are the true prize I carry home from every trip.
Don't ever get so caught up in big bucks, that you forget the reason God sent you on the trip in the fist place."

I really like these guys. I have drifted away from most hunting shows because they focus more on slaying monster bucks on outfitted properties with top of the line sponsors and gear. THP does a grat job of relating to the common man in a realistic way. The strategies are great and they make me want to get out to some local public lands to give it a shot. I am going ot check out this episode for sure. Glad they get into the Hoosier State!
