My high school art teacher (retired) has done ALL my deer/other mounts but 1 since 1979. (Atound 32 total). Current charge $350. Hopefully he will be able to do several more.

that guy is basically doing it for his cost. I should have said he’s a friend of mine. You have a good friend then!

I paid for my 1st and then I did my next three. My 2018 I planned to shoulder mount it, but never did. Now it sits in a box in my barn. Someday it will make it to the barn wall with the others. You could at least hang the antlers in the barn and show us a pic of that. Here you go. Before After

Had the wife's first deer done in 2011 and it was $450 and I did one in 2012 that was $550. I thought that was quite a jump for one year! lengacherstaxidermy.com/

My guy charges $450. The taxidermist that mounted my first one back in 1970 charged a whopping $75.

While in Wyoming we stopped by a taxidermist in Buffalo. The guy does a great job. He charges $850. That's the going rate out west.
I honestly believe you get what you pay for
