Had 2 come in from behind on each side of me. They passed by at 3 ft and the lucky contestant got put down around 10 yds or less. Awesome bro! Way to get it done! Congrats! Thank you sir!

I played hookey from the field today. My work schedule got jacked due to a partner that has more excuses about working than his weight in gold. Will try coming up, if not should have a 3 day weekend because of this.

Set up off of historical data this morning since my scouting had produced bupkis. Nearly jumped out of the blind at 6:30 when a bird started gobbling on the roost within 50 yards. About 20 minutes later a hen flew out of the tree 12 feet from me. They flew down into the woods and ended up moving away from me. About an hour later had a gobbler in the field right in front of my plan B. He seemed interested and talked back quite a bit but wouldn't cross the knee high corn stubble.
Tomorrow gives me a good problem, deciding which bird to target.
6 total people on 2400 acres this morning. My drive is 45 minutes and I was the most local person there. 1 from Indy, 1 from Carmel, 1 from Noblesville, 2 from Fishers, and me from Greensburg. Two sets of partners and 2 singles and nobody competing with anybody, maybe this cold snowy weather is the way to go. :-)

Grandson got his first turkey ever when three jakes decided to visit us. They walked right next to the blind. He asked “do you think I should shoot one?” I told him I would if I was him . My first turkey was a jake and I was very happy to get him. He had to wait until the three separated a little so he could shoot just one. Memory made!

What a thrill for both of you especially for you being able to be his coach.

I’m happy with how this morning worked out, last year I hunted almost every day and didn’t get a shot!

Good morning everyone! I'm getting ready to head out. I starting in the same general area as yesterday. I had a tom come off the roost a little late but, by the time he did, he got ran off by three jakes. So, my hope is that he's roosted in the same area. So I think I should just go with the hen decoy instead of the hen and jake combo.
It's another cool day. I can't believe I'll be using my heated insoles this morning. What happened to naps in the turkey woods under the cedars in the warm afternoon sun?!

I’m waiting in the parking area at the same place as yesterday. Sure hope they gobble this morning. Literally didn’t hear a single turkey noise yesterday and that makes for a long day.
