Gets old...hearing "celebs" push a product line and explain why for years, even recent years and....now we get to hear all the same stuff about a new one.

Brag brag brag and then shoot a different brand for a month then switch again. I still shoot my Mathews DXT that I bought in ‘08.

What I heard PSE dropped them. PSE hands tied some with other hunting shows. Shows pushing back. Follow the money.

Must be the year for it. Jim Shockey had some sponsor change announcements at the beginning of the year.
I guess I'm just a cheapskate. I'll use what gets the job done properly most economically. I did learn a long time ago to spend good money on the right boots and clothing. The rest is just personal preference feelings.

My blood goes 100% to the very young. Good new, next time 8 weeks it's bow season!

I watch Jeff Sturgis on YouTube quite a bit. He has always pushed Sitka pretty hard, but it looks like has been wearing First Lite t-shirts lately.

Not a matthews fan personally, I think they`re overpriced and way overrated. But to each his own.

This in NO WAY takes away from his knowledge, but his hatred on soybeans is clearly understood once you research the company he is connected to and pushes on seed. Sitka switch to First Lite is just another one....he pushed Sitka HARD.....all for nothing now IMO

The reality is TV shows need sponsors, and the people making them will happily push whatever camo, scents, boots, guns, optics, bows, etc they have to, to get their shows made and on the air.
I can't give'em too much grief for being a shill for company A last year and company B this year.
It's all part of the business.

One of my contractors tried to schedule him for a consultation and was told at least 18 months out. It’s no different than professional golfers. They switch equipment periodically due to contract negotiations or poor play. I still say that Tiger Woods would have set unattainable records had he stayed with Titleist and not switched to Nike.

Again, my critique of Jeff while IMO 100% accurate - in no way takes away from him any of the knowledge he has. It's one reason why I respect Winke, dude has been using the same products literally as far as I can remember. Different strokes for different folks is all it is. It just sucks having to struggle to get true unbiased thoughts on anything these days in nearly anything.

That's why I try to use the reviews I find. Some are from people who just bought something and think it's the greatest thing ever, some are from people you couldn't satisfy no matter what you do, most are in the middle.
What I really look for is a common theme. Solid reviews that show a product working well, a certain problem that keeps showing itself, or maybe a common issue with customer service. That type of thing.
In the end, sometimes you just have to take a chance.

PSE didn’t renew with Drury last fall. They’d been shopping for a while. Mathews makes a great product, but many do. Mathews is also THE best at marketing period. They have that down pat. Personally the Drury shows are flat for me. Have been for years. So boring how they hunt now. 15-20 years ago I loved their shows.
As for me and bows I am a bowaholic. I want to try them all! Trad bows and compounds I wanna choot’em! Can’t help it.
