Oath a Governor takes:
I, _____, do solemnly swear [or affirm] that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution and laws of the State of Virginia, and all local ordinances, and that I will faithfully and impartially perform and discharge the duties of the office of _____, according to the law and the best of my ability.
What the Constitution says:
"...shall NOT be infringed".

It's been 40 years or more since I was last in Virginia, and this type of crap does little to entice me to go back. Yes, something has hit the fan in Virginia, but I don't think it's really even started.
It's my opinion, and ONLY my opinion, that, (in my best Randy Bachman voice) "You ain't seen nothin' yet" This has the makings of a really bad episode in American history.
I don't see how these lawmakers fail to understand what a third rail they've grabbed, but they're about to. I've heard reports that Governor Northam has been funneling money into detention centers in expectation of droves of people violating the new gun laws. Reports say he's talking about using the National Guard, or even trying to use the Army reserves, to confiscate firearms.
Hey Governor, does the term "Posse Comitatus" ring any bells?

My son lives in Salem Virginia. He said things are ramped up to the likes he’s never seen. Busloads have previously been organized by the Virginia Citizens Defense League, coming from all corners of the state. Apparently after recent actions, even higher numbers of buses are now in the mix from an interesting group...Churches! Various denominations are organizing their own concerted travel to the rally! And not just from Virginia!!!

Bloomberg has bought and paid for these anti-Constitution politicians, and they seem to actually believe they may ignore the oath they took, and use their office to trample the Constitution. It would be great if things can be resolved peacefully, but they have to learn that the Constitution is non negotiable.

Is there a statute to file charges under against those who willfully and intentionally violate their oath of office? If so, which has the right, ability, and fortitude to do so?

Yeah, that way they can paint it as a white supremacist march and taint everyone's reputations.

Slippery slope, as for everyone who is waiting in great angst, this will surely spread. To think otherwise would be foolish.

One problem - these kinds of things always draw a few flies. That is, nut jobs that are out of control and might do anything. Gun rights groups need to be on the alert and screen for the dangerous oddball. One bombing by a crazy guy and it will be blamed on all patriots.

Yeah, that way they can paint it as a white supremacist march and taint everyone's reputations. Of much greater consequence is this: remember the Sheriff(s), who said that they would, rightfully, refuse to enforce these unconstitutional laws or orders? Well, nevermind that now, with the fbi involved, those jack-booted thugs certainly will trample the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding American citizens. The only wild card could be, whether the Sheriffs would actually stand up against the fbi.

I`m not sure what the point is here...We already know that most of the media is nothing more than a propaganda machine for the dnc. Certainly they`re going to spin, distort amd lie. It doesn`t matter who causes problems, the media will blame it on law-abiding gun owners, since that furthers their agenda. There are several ways this can be sorted out. One is to not reelect traitors like this governor, or to better yet, recall them. Or, it can wind it`s way through the courts and we`ll hope and pray that the courts can grasp what shall not be infringed means. There has to be safeguards put in place though that keep this from even happening in the first place. We shouldn`t be at the mercy of tyrants, and have to go through the time and expense of going through the courts to protect constitutional rights, and only hope the courts do the right and proper thing. I don`t know what the answer is, but, we cannot, and should not allow these rogue politicians to keep playing these games with our rights.

Well, I just read on another forum that many of the parking garages in the area of the rally have suddenly decided to close that day for "safety reasons" and are issuing refunds to those who have reservations. At least one hotel -- The Omni -- has stated that they do not want Second Amendment supporters as clients, and have plastered the doors and lobby with "no guns allowed" signs.

I guess I am worried that somebody with a screw loose will come out of their mom's basement and start shooting or throw a bomb or drive into a crowd and set off a s*** storm.
Or a false flag op by one side or the other.

"Your 2nd Amendment is under very serious attack in the Great Commonwealth of Virginia. That’s what happens when you vote for Democrats, they will take your guns away. Republicans will win Virginia in 2020. Thank you Dems!"

It's interesting that the rally is coming monday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day which is a Public holiday.
