Some see voting as an obligation, and a duty, kind of like Jury Duty. The truth is voting, is a right, and a privilege.
Contrary to what the uninformed believe, we are not a democracy, we are a constitutional republic, or some would say a democratic republic. The Founders were deathly afraid of a true democracy, in which a mob majority could vote away the freedoms and individual liberties of The People. The Constitution protects our freedoms and individual liberties against both, a despotic government, and a mob majority.
We`re blessed to live in the United States, and have the form of government we have. People all over the world yearn for freedom from tyrannical rule, so they can make their own way, free from the brutality of despots. In America we have that, and are the envy of the world.
Ignorance of what the proper role of government is, and apathy, will cause a people to lose their freedoms.
Vote today, exercise your right to have a say in who your elected employees are.

I also get as many unwanted election sign as possible. They make great target holders.

I do vote, when possible. My precinct does not have anything on the docket today.
So, is it better to have everyone vote, or just those that are informed? A few years ago, when I still worked in an office, a co-worker admitted that she had stopped be her voting location and the place was closed. Like me today, she had nothing to vote for. She went just to be casting a ballot, but obviously had no clue who was running for what, what the issues were, the candidates platforms, etc. BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ONE TO VOTE FOR!
Real estate sign frames are the best target holders I have ever used.

I live outside of our city limits, no voting for me today. Haven't missed an eligible election since I was old enough to vote. 1st time to vote I was in Vietnam, late mother was on the local election board, sent me an absentee ballot. Went up to the front office as it said I had to have a witness, so I told a temporary "Butter Bar" that he had to witness me voting and sign for it. He showed me his 2nd Lt. bars and told me how hard he had to work to get them, and if I thought for one second that he was going to watch me vote, that I wasn't thinking very good. He told me to sit down at his desk and vote,[he then went outside] bring the ballot out, only show him where he had to sign, hide the rest, seal it,and get out of his office and mail it. Ah,in a war zone with a "fresh face" officer, every day was an ongoing education where looking at the "rule book" was an option!
