For years, I have used Hunters Specialty laundry soap on my hunting clothes. Always added a little baking soda. I just recently started using Tide Free & Clear. No perfumes/scents or dyes added and still use baking soda. I can not find any info if the Tide has UV enhancers or not. The HS soap was getting too expensive unless I caught on clearance at end of season. Ran out and picked up the Tide. Does anyone know if Tide F&C or Era Free have UV enhancers? I have noticed no different effects while hunting.

I've been wrong before, but I would guess most all commercial laundry soaps probably have UV brighteners. I've used nothing but baking soda for years.

I have used All Free and Clear for years. I don't know about UV brighteners. I've killed a lot of deer at close range in that time.

Can deer see UV light? I know that honey bees can see UV light as they use the UV light reflected off certain parts of the flowers to zone in on the pollen.
I don't hunt deer. I stay out of the woods and fields when there are people with guns out hunting deer and anything that moves. I don't want to get shot. So I avoid the woods during gun season. Now archery season doesn't bother me as I figure that a bow hunter won't shoot me as I'd be close enough for them to tell I'm human and not a deer.
Now I do plan on hunting coyotes some day in the future. Or I was until I got a bad report about my heart from the heart doctor. I may not be hunting anymore unless they can fix the faulty bypasses in my heart. 2 out of the 4 bypasses in my cornary arteries have failed and they didn't put stent in them when the did my heart cath. So I have to take nitro pills to ease any angina pain.
But I still would like to kill some coyotes and wonder if they can see UV light?

Yes, deer see the UV light range and to my understanding so do dogs see in this range. I think a lot of animals see the UV range. Prayers that they fix your heart.

I switched to free and clear last year. I swear close encounters with deer have gone up significantly since switching. Its easier on the wallet too.
