Based on the rough data, it appears that 2019 was the best opening weekend we've had since 2016.

Great weather for movement and hunting I figured numbers be crazy...but again I say it every year (except very bad weather years) the opening weekend harvest total once all said and done is crazy insane. Never ceases to amaze me.

Great weather and here in southern Indiana every buck has been seeking or chasing does keeping them moving as well. I have seen more deer in 7 hunts than I saw all year last season.

I, nor a lot of others, did not even go out.

Hmm here in clay county I haven’t seen a deer all year. I must have turned into the worlds worst hunter. Or ehd has wiped out all the deer on the farm I hunt

Keep in mind that in 2017 there were two additional days of archery in the total and in 2018 there was one additional day of archery season in the total.
2017 - 83,382
2018 - 85,557 (+2,175 from 2017)
2019 - 86,373 (+816 from 2018)
