At least he took an old one out of the herd and left the young vibrant ones.

Interesting how criminals are constantly hanging themselves with the info on their cell phones.

Interesting how criminals are constantly hanging themselves with the info on their cell phones. Agreed, and I'd love to know how many jobs aren't gotten (or lost) because of information that the job seeker put out on social media.

In the recent trial of the lady cop that shot the man when she went into the wrong apartment her online posts was held against her. She got caught up in the online bravado up shooting bad guys.. Almost like she was wanted to shoot someone. She deleted her posts but nothing really disappears from the internet .

Charges dismissedWhat a joke! Took a year to charge him and then they don't even prosecute him.

Charges dismissedWhat a joke! Took a year to charge him and then they don't even prosecute him. "According to Deputy Prosecuting Attorney James Ensley of the Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office, the charges were dismissed Tuesday with an understanding that McCullough would surrender the property, in this case antlers and cape, to Indiana Conservation Officers." Well he diffidently done something wrong or he wouldn't be giving up his antlers and cape!

Here's a bit of info I found about charges dismissed without prejudice.
Perhaps someone on this forum has actual legal experience (as I do not), but reading the above makes me wonder if the state can/will re-file charges @ a later date.

Good possibility and maybe it will be moved to a federal jurisdiction. And if the case wasn't strong enough to be won then it's a learning lesson for law enforcement. Police officers hate to loose a case but every time you loose one you become a better investigator.

Obviously the case is over and he was guilty and plead out of it for giving up the cape and Antlers!

If he had plead out, (along with seizure of the deer), I would have thought he would have been charged with a lesser offense, had his hunting privileges revoked for a period of time, been fined, etc.
Since that didn't occur, it leads me to believe that charges may be forthcoming @ a later date.
I guess time will tell.

Has anyone seen the actual list of charges that were "dismissed" ?
