In the stand enjoying the morning. A crisp 35deg and raining acorns. Sitting on some awesome property up here in the NW. Trail cams are starting to show good deer movement, including some decent bucks, and turkeys. Ready for action!!!

1 spike for this morning. Hears a squirrel hunter not too far away. I heard 5 shots over the next hour or so but no deer were pushed my direction. Then about 15 minutes ago another bowhunter walks by. Based on what I've seen he has a long afternoon ahead of him.

Nothing for me this morning. Will probably wait til the next cold front or the last week of the month. Hit it hard from there.

It has been tough so far, been out 8 times and have only seen total of 4 deer. One doe that had 2 fawns with her so I elected not to shoot her and then this morning a young 6 point walked under my stand. Been seeing tons of tree rats though.

First time out this year for me. Almost got one right outside of Folsomville as it ran across the road in front of me. Good luck to all and be safe! Yep your in the area where they run like stray cats and dogs. My family and I lived in Tennyson for a year before we move to Alabama. Warrick County has awesome size deer.

Well here we are, the wife's Uncle and I at our ground blind waiting on the magic to happen. I was worried if the blind would still be here, but it was just as we left it.

Did a 2 mile hike this afternoon to scout an area. Didn't see much sign. Did not really have anything else planned for an evening south wind so I set up over a cut bean field where I could glass into the area previously scouted.
A farmer decided to disc and spray a nearby field, figured mine was next so I moved to a thick oak line near some known bedding. At least two of the bucks my buddy and I are after have been spotted here in the last week.
Id prefer to be where its a little thicker but I cant push in any closer.

Picked up an extra day in the county park reduction program today and I gave it to my daughter. 10 mins after getting set up she said she sees one. Sure enough had a 1.5 year old buck get to with in 40 yards before he cut up away from us. He doesnt realize how lucky he is bc she was ready to thump him.

I was out this morning to 9:30 and let three does pass around 9am. Spent day wiring up lights. I have one more spot light. Door entry light and front flood light working . I'll take pictures after dark.

Sitting here around the fire in the back yard with some adult beverages and just had a doe walk down the ridge top below us. Just let her go and think it’s a safe place.......for now.

Well I'm glad I screwed that up. What I thought was a doe was actually a spike buck. Got 20 yards in a run-off ditch and I went to switch windows for a better shot and knocked over my chair
