I have a S&W Airweight Commando I use for pocket carry fairly often. Do you have to use the half moon clips to get them to work with 9mm?

Sorry got off topic, the Airweight is .38.
I did see a revolver that shoots 9mm without the half moon clips, but I forget who makes it

My EC9S is easy to carry and easy to shoot for it’s size but my favorite - the BHP. I agree with you on both choices. I recently purchased my EC9S, but my Browning High Power fits my hand better than any other handgun I have ever picked up. Keep yer powder dry...…….robin

My glock 19 is great but for conceal carry I have a pocket 380 s & w bodyguard for summertime and a shield 2.0 for the rest of the year I was carrying a little Ruger LC9S Pro for personal protection. I just bought a new Walther PPQ M2 SC Law Enforcement Version with the 15 round extended magazine. It's a lot heavier and bulkier than the little Ruger Pistol. Now I've gone from 7 rounds of 9 mm ammo in the gun to 15 rounds. The 8 extra rounds of 9 mm ammo weigh a lot more. The gun itself is light. My 5.11 holster vest holds the Walther OK but the longer magazine is harder to fit inside the pocket all the way. I have to manipulate the gun's magazine somewhat to get the little velcro closures all shut all the way so that the gun does not fall out of my pocket when I bend over. That happened one time already. I got a new sticky holster for the gun that's made to fit the Walther PPQ M2 and the PPQ M2 SC and it works great. I tried carrying my full-sized Walther PPQ M2 4" 9 mm with 17 rounds and had to carry it in a Stealthgear Flex OWB holster. That required a pair of suspenders to hold my pants up even with a heavy-duty type belt. The Walther PPQ M2 carries nicely with the Steathgear Flex OWB Holster and it easy to draw from and also easy to reholster compared to the Alien Gear OWB holster. It's my carry gun in the winter months at times. Most people don't think about the Walther line of pistols. They compare well to the Glock as for function and have one of the best out of the box triggers for a striker-fired pistol. waltherarms.com/ppq-sub-compact/www.youtube.com/watch?v=qB3RhR17q8I

I have owned and shot many pistols, wheel guns and auto. I liked a lot of them, but I tell you what, nothing outshines my Glock 19. It is just accurate, comfortable and reliable all the time. What do you guys have for favorites? Glock guy here. Although I do have a little Glock .380, the Glock 42, I`m also a .45 guy. My Glock 21 is tough to conceal, so I typically try to carry a Glock 30, it`s a compact .45 double-stack mag. I carry either 230 grain Federal Hydra-Shoks, or, 230 grain Federal HST. I`m also very fond of my little Ruger SP-101 in .357 magnum, but nothing takes the place of my Glocks.

Sorry to be so late to the thread..
My favorite 9MM defensive handgun is a Wilson Combat CQB compact lightweight 1911. It has a shorter officer's length grip, an aluminum frame, and a four inch bull barrel. This particular CQB also came with a factory fit .38 Super barrel, which is what I carry it with most of the time. It is fit with Wilson's U notch rear battlesight with trijicon dots, and a Trijicon dot front night sight. After many years of looking for the perfect defensive handgun, I finally settled on compact lightweight 1911's. I have them in .45 ACP, 9MM, and .38 Super. Depending on weather, I carry them in either an IWB holster at 4 O'clock, or an OWB holster in the same position. They are so comfortable to carry that I often forget I'm carrying one. In 9MM and .38 Super this pistol holds 9 rounds in the magazine, with another in the chamber. This particular pistol is also extremely accurate, and reliable. It has a crisp four pound trigger, and it fits my hand perfectly. As with most 1911's, pointability and ergonomics are very good. I don't leave home without it.
