A couple weeks ago a found a 3 case package of VHS 8- tracks. So I went out on the web to see what I could get for them. Not enough to sell ($6). I'm still getting e-mails, text, web stuff to buy VHS 8 tracks. Over two weeks now.
You might have read that I won a $560 Bass Pro Shop gift card and I have been checking pistol prices and comparing with Base Pro for the past few day. Guess how many e-mails or text on guns. Your right on: zero

You’re right. I was talking with my wife one evening about some off the wall product and lo and behold it shows up in my Facebook feed. I never looked it up online, only talked briefly with her about it. Coincidence?

Just think of your cell phone....they already have the means to listen in AND track your position. if they want you...they can most certainly find you!

Then I start getting ads for that article.

I hate to say it but my B-i-l is partly to blame for this. Many years ago he started an internet marketing business and they would track how many hits each of their clients would get each day on their website. One of his clients asked if there was a way to continue to advertise to these people after they've left your site. At the time the technology was not available but my brother-in-law assembled a small team of programmers together and they wrote the code that started putting the advertising of an item you recently searched for right in the margins of the current page you are on. He made millions of dollars off of this concept. So, as much as I hate seeing something I just searched for show up in places where I wasn't looking for it, I have mad respect for the fact that someone that I know and love dearly was behind this. Now, I do find it very odd when something that I've only thought about in my head somehow shows up as an ad in a page I'm browsing. My b-i-l believes that advertising can be so subliminal that there are ads that you see but don't pay any attention to but they trigger you to think about it later on (minutes, hours or even days later). And then, the ad will show up again a few days later and you will think "how weird, I was just thinking about that!" It's possible and highly likely you had previously seen the ad and didn't realize it but you saw just enough of it to get you thinking about it. Advertising is a very interesting animal and good advertising can get into your mind without you even realizing it.

The point was more on guns. Nothing so far to buy this gun or that gun. Nothing, like I never did a few google searches. No censorship! Like the old internet days

What Wayne....nobody beating down your door (figuratively speaking) to sell you a gun??? Imagine that! I don't think that is an accident....
I find it interesting that gun owners are supposed to be some sort of "problem" in this country.....yet we have MILLIONS of legal gun owners and legal guns in this country...... IF WE was the issue....it would literally look like a war out there!
More people die in auto related accidents or drug related issues every year....yet they have NOT been able to stop drugs and they sure don't seem interested in banning cars!

Where does the censorship come into the first post? On most or almost any other subject that item would be spread like wild fire everytime I got on the web. It standard issue today. So why wasn't my gun search on google. They censored it and took it off their wild fire spread. So why do guns get a special no sales try advertisements?

Weird because I get gun and gun accessory ads often. Maybe it’s not what they censor but who?

Trump wants to censor social media by executive order now. I don't care how he spins it, that is exactly what he is proposing.
And now he supports universal background checks and red flag laws...

In an e-mail I sent to a buddy I explained how I was NOT getting ads about guns or any shooting related stuff. What started showing up a week later? Yup, you guessed it, first was gunsmithing supplies, now it's stuff related to other types of shooting and hunting.
Who said Big Brother isn't watching everything?

What’s really strange is people have been talking about some wild hogs on a popular state based website I frequent. Then all of a sudden people are seeing them!

This has been going on for many many years. My younger cousin did a report on this back when he was in High School. And that was over 40 years ago.
