I thought I'd start a thread to share what I have been and will be doing to get ready for the season. Anybody that would like to share their own preparation here, feel free!
So far I've had both bows out a few times, need to shoot at least a couple times each week between now and season.
I've got 7 cams out right now, 2 on corn and 5 on trails near bedding.
Got one of my quad pod tower stands erected today. Have one more to put up still.

I've started working a second job and I'm going to be gone for half of September. My prep time will be very limited this season. I mowed and weedeated trails to our stand locations yesterday. I've been shooting my bow every day that I'm home. My next day off I'd like to open up an old ground blind by our pond and start hanging stands.

I refletched some arrows yesterday. And cut down and fletched some micro diameter arrows I want to try. Both bows are tuned and sighted in, other then that i shoot a dozen arrows every day im off and play in the saddle harness. I have 8 cameras out on two properties, they need to be checked and moved.

I got the 2nd tower stand mostly assembled today. Just have to haul it out to the in-laws' place before putting on the legs/etc.

The only prep I’ve done is walk behind the house to make sure my stand is still there and I also cut a path through the bottom by my stand and to the creek. I did have two real nice bucks, an 8 and 10 pointer, walk right behind the house yesterday morning. That got me a little excited to know they are at least in the area and hopefully at least one of them stays.

As far as height looks like he’s got a split on one side but still looks like he’d be a nice buck body wise see a whole lot of steak on that guy

Pulled cams at my in-laws', one malfunctioned and took zero photos, but the other got some good ones. Looks like at 4 obvious (to me) shooters, and some others right on the line. On the line (what I W.A.G. to probably be 3 year old deer): Medium 8 pointer Nice 10 with uneven brows No-doubt shooters in my book: Big crab-claw 8 point. I had this buck on camera last year, and is almost identical this year. Big symmetrical 8 point Big 10 with sticker Big 10 with double and triple brow tines Two previous bucks together:
