OK; it’s Long Range Aquisitions LLC. Never heard of them Looks like a new LLC that Vista/investers created just to remove that part of the business from their core business. That's my read so far. Smells a little rotten.

Yes, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I know that I have ruminated over it quite a few times in recent years about getting my hands on an old Savage model 99! This post just brought that thought to the forefront!

Smells a little rotten. Hmmm. Perhaps it was nothing more than a way to get REI to do business with Vista then. Poor little REI got their feelings hurt when Savage brought out an AR. Don’t give REI a dime.

The wheels for this where set in motion some time ago....late last year I read about this being planned. They claimed it had nothing to do with the boycotting and the like, but the main brands Vista has are more aimed at other outdoor activities and NOT hunting from what I was able to see. But that may not be entirely true as there was some brands I didn't recognize....but if it don;t come in camo I ain't interested!
