Get bill of sale call sheriff or take to them they can check it and give you paperwork take to BMV and your set

Get bill of sale call sheriff or take to them they can check it and give you paperwork take to BMV and your set Yes I failed to mention the person with said boat is not the registered owner. So also I need to know if someone knows a way that I can find out who the boat is registered to.

I'd talk to the sheriff and ask them to verify that it isn't stolen.

Sold my boat last year to someone. My brother in law bought it at a yard sale. Couldn't hardly tell what the last 4 digits of the vin was. Luckily the hull registration was still visible. Took a picture of it into the bmv had them run it that way. They said it had been over 20 years since it was registered. However got the vin number, called the sheriff got it ran came back clean and then applied for a lost title. Got the title then sold it to the guy. Wasn't to difficult, a lot of leg work but it was worth it. Hope it goes well for you.
