It's not that bad down here. We're probably paying around $2k acre when you figure the value of the house.

Update, almost a year later. Nothing ever came of that other property. As I thought about it, we could probably make the payments on that place, but that would've been about it. A fair price probably would have been a bit beyond our means. We did just sign a purchase agreement on another place though. It's got a house and 46 acres, and several parcels of public land ranging from 2-5 miles away. We're getting a traditional mortgage since we'll be living there. Of course this is pending inspection/etc., but paperwork is signed and stuff is rolling forward. Well, it's a done deal, closed on it today. Just gotta wait 3 weeks for the current owners to move/turn over possession now!

Congrats, now when’s the house warming? Lol, hopefully by the time we take possession this "social distancing" will be over with. We've got a lot of crap to move! We're chomping at the bit to get in there...

We're chomping at the bit to get in there... Just make sure you set my turkey blind up and leave me a map on the front porch. We can keep the 6 foot distance.

The previous owners are moving out tomorrow. It's taken over 3 months from when we toured the place until now. Can't wait to get in there and start scouting for turkeys/mushrooms and wet a line in the creek!
