Point is...no way you will have fried chicken to limit the egg production Look, just because I'm a more successful hunter than you there is no reason to be hateful. I don't have to kill everything I see. Don't feel bad about your lack of hunting ability. Even the Indians needed gatherer's I told my kid yesterday I hate animals. That is why I hunt them. She was trying to get another pet. Successful on what scale by the way?

I had an interesting evening last night. I was in Morris Hill, Indiana at a large beekeeping monthly meeting. My 1st one for this association. There was about 70 people there. The ages there where very similar to hunting clubs. 80% where 50 and older, 18% from 30-40, and 2% under 30. The last 2% was the sons and daughters that came together. I guess beekeeping is also a dying activity. So it seems the last few generations as a whole are doing something else or don't do much besides watching stuff. All I hear at work from the younger crowd is about "do you watch last night, did you see that ....". I know this group is more the norm, but we aren't the norm. I think the norm go to school or work and then watch programs and their phones to be in with all the others. Watchers verses doers.

O.K., now I'm confused. What are the eggs for then? Love chickens. Hate eggs. Can't give enough of them away. Chickens are pets and eggs are a necessary evil I deal with. Mix the raw eggs in with the dog food.... know guys that do this all the time!

I agree with the post about greedy government cost. I have a cabin on my familys farm in Illinois. I also lived in Illinois for 22 years. I pay the electric bill there every month. For me to hunt there now that I live in Indiana it cost. 765.00 a year just for license, archery buck tag & firearm buck tag.

Also deer & Turkey hunting is more popular now than ever!! I dont care what anyone says. It's small game hunting that is almost non existent. Squirrel, rabbit, quail, pheasant. 80s & 90s didnt have the worship of millions such as Bone Collector, whitetail freaks, turkey thugs. Our whole farm is surrounded by hunters on every little piece of property. You have to own thousands of acres not to have a hunter around every corner. Just a few years ago, less than 10,I could screw around on neighboring properties & have the run of several hundred acres. Thos days are gone.
