I've only hunted 2 turkey seasons and I got my bird very quickly both times but it's been in a blind. I'm thinking this year I will throw on the leafy suit and plop down in some brush. All hunting is a challenge but I would like to try doing it a little different and see what happens!

Last year was my first turkey kill in the guillie suit and a chair. It was an unbelievable rush when toms sounded off right next to me!!! I love blind hunting, but more challenging in the open. You will enjoy it. Just got to sit still.

That's the only way I hunt turkeys. Seems to work. I don't even put camo on. Typical bluejeans and shirt. I find a calling Tom (I use my own great horn owl call), then pick out a large tree, make a hen cluck call, walk 20 yards and place 1 hen decoy, call, walk back to large tree, open and place chair against tree, call for a third time, sit very still and watch them come (best part). I think the 3 calls and walking noise brings them in. I sit for 30 minutes. Plain and simple. Move on if no show and try again.
