I seen a big group this morning down the road from work in Greene County. A bunch of youngens mixed in, glad to see they made it through the cold week last week. Just wish I could hunt out there!!
I'm hoping to put one down and end my dry spell, being my 4th year turkey hunting. I need to start warming up with the diaphrams.

Greetings What is a grand slam in the turkey world? Regards Billy. "To achieve a Grand Slam, a hunter must harvest the four most common subspecies of the American wild turkey—the Eastern, Merriam's, Rio Grande and Osceola."
Easterns are all we have around here. Some guys really get into it and travel all over to try and get the different varieties.

I've known a few that have fallen from wooden stands that have gone bad, or wooden ladders that have broke. I will get into a metal ladder stand without hesitation, providing I know it's secure and the hardware holding it together is good.
